Arresting opposition common presidential candidate General (rtd) Sarath Fonseka just prior to a parliamentary election has created some unrest among opposition supporters. Meanwhile, government says the arrest incident is having no relationship with the upcoming general election. Government insists that the arrest is completely based on military offense charges against General Fonseka.
